Working with a Dubai interior designer from abroad
Published 22 January 2026 · By Subhra

In short
Roughly 40% of ZuriSpace projects are run with the owner living outside the UAE. Communication is via WhatsApp, weekly video calls, and a shared online folder containing CAD drawings, mood boards, material samples and progress photos. Owners typically need to be physically present three times: before contract, at design sign-off, and for final handover.
Three site visits, the rest is remote
Most overseas owners visit the project three times: a first site walk before contract, a half-day design sign-off after CAD is complete, and a half-day final handover at the end. Everything else is run remotely, whether the project is a Downtown apartment, a Business Bay unit or a villa fit-out.
Material samples by courier
We courier physical material samples to the owner's home country during the design phase, stone tiles, fabric swatches, wood finishes, so decisions are not made on a screen.
WhatsApp every working day
Site progress is shared on WhatsApp every working day. Decisions that block the build are escalated to a video call within 24 hours. Nothing waits a week.
