Subhra is the founder and principal designer of ZuriSpace, a Dubai-based interior design studio. She began her practice in India in 2015, across residential villas, apartments, hotels and cafés, and moved to Dubai three years ago with more than ten years of design experience. Today she leads every project personally, with a body of work spanning Pulse, Dubai South, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Hills, Damac Hills, Arabian Ranches, Creek Harbour, Al Furjan and select commissions in Abu Dhabi. Her signature is restraint: bone, sand and walnut, with one quiet thread of brass.

How ZuriSpace began.
Subhra has been designing interiors since 2015, when she began her practice in India across residential villas and apartments, hotels, cafés and commercial spaces. Three years ago she moved to Dubai, bringing more than ten years of experience to the city.
Her first project in the UAE was a villa in Pulse, Dubai South. From there the work spread across Dubai Hills, Damac Hills, Palm Jumeirah, Al Furjan, Arabian Ranches and Creek Harbour, with select commissions in Abu Dhabi. ZuriSpace takes on only a selected few projects at a time, so Subhra can stay personally involved in every one.
ZuriSpace is built on a clear vision for this market: interiors that feel generous without being loud, material-led rather than trend-led, and designed for how people actually live in Dubai, not how catalogues suggest they should. That is the work Subhra set out to do when she founded the studio.
Four rules we don't bend.
Proportion before pattern
A room reads as luxurious not because of what's on its walls but because of how it's proportioned. We design from the volume outward, never the other way round.
Material honesty
Stone is stone. Wood is wood. Brass is brass. We refuse fake panels, faux finishes and laser-cut shortcuts. Materials should age, not pretend.
Shade as a primary element
In Dubai, the most generous luxury is shade. Deep verandas, screened thresholds, layered curtaining. We design for the way light moves through a Gulf day.
Residential sensibility, everywhere
Whether the room is a beach villa, a boardroom or a restaurant, the test is the same: does it feel like a home? If yes, it's a ZuriSpace room.
Working with Subhra.
Every ZuriSpace engagement is led personally by Subhra from the first conversation to the final reveal. She runs the design, the material decisions, and the on-site reviews. Senior designers and contractors execute under her direction.
Practically, this means: the designer in the room when you sign your contract is the designer in the room when you turn the lights on for the first time. There is no junior team rotation, no white-labelling and no client handoff.
For overseas owners, Subhra leads weekly video reviews and runs every site visit personally, with daily WhatsApp updates. For local clients, she is on site at least weekly through the build phase.
