City Walk Handover Guide: What to Upgrade First

City Walk apartments around Central Park are handing over through 2026. Erin is already in. Castleton, Thyme and Fern follow. Check the apartment for defects first, then plan the kitchen, wardrobes and lighting before you buy furniture. You will need a Meraas tower NOC and a goods-lift booking before work starts. A typical City Walk fit-out with ZuriSpace takes 6 to 12 weeks and starts from AED 300,000. Larger 3BHK and penthouse work can go up to about AED 1,000,000.

What you get at handover

City Walk sits next to Central Park in Al Wasl. The apartments are mid-rise, not Downtown or Marina towers. Erin has already handed over. Castleton, Thyme and Fern continue through 2026. Myrtle, Viridian and Central Park Building 1 are already lived in. Most units come with a basic kitchen and empty living rooms. If you buy furniture first, you usually pay twice, once for temporary pieces, then again when the kitchen and wardrobes change. Check the apartment, design, get the NOC, then build. Check the apartment first

Walk every room. Check doors, AC, bathrooms, windows, paint, and whether the kitchen and wardrobes are square. Take photos for Meraas. Keep developer defects separate from the work you want to pay for yourself. Mixing the two slows the job down.

What to upgrade first

Start with the kitchen. The handover kitchen is fine for a show flat, not for daily cooking. Then put full-height wardrobes in every bedroom and a cupboard at the entrance. Then fix the lighting, and add curtains that cut the glare from the park without blocking the view. Bathrooms next if the taps or waterproofing already feel wrong. Erin, Castleton, Thyme and Fern

Erin handed over first. Castleton followed earlier in 2026. Thyme has 3BHK units collecting keys through late summer. Fern continues into the last quarter of the year. Myrtle, Viridian and Central Park Building 1 are already occupied, so those jobs are usually a refresh. Each building has its own Meraas rules, contractor list and goods-lift booking. We look at your unit and the building pack before we design.

Meraas tower approvals

You need a tower NOC before joinery, kitchen work or any bathroom work starts. The building will also need contractor registration, working hours and a goods-lift slot. Time and cost

A one- or two-bedroom City Walk fit-out usually takes 6 to 10 weeks after the NOC is moving. A 3BHK with a new kitchen and full wardrobes takes 8 to 12 weeks. When to call us
